Mission & Vision
Vision
The program is intended to provide the undergraduate education in sociology by offering a wide range of courses pertaining to sociology, research methodology, statistical analyses and other sub-fields of social sciences. Both major and minor courses are designed to be taught in the program in keeping with the needs of the students and labor market. The duration of the program is four years which involve a total of eight terms or semesters. Each academic year consists of two terms. The program involves a total of 165 credits which are to be earned in eight terms. As such, each and every student has to earn 165 credits in eight terms to complete the program.
Mission
The Department of Sociology started its journey in 2017 under the faculty of Social Science and Humanities at Noakhali Science and Technology University. The program is intended to provide the undergraduate education in sociology by offering a wide range of courses pertaining to sociology, research methodology, statistical analyses and other sub-fields of social sciences. The program involves a total of 166 credits which are to be earned in eight terms. As such, each and every student has to earn 166 credits in eight terms to complete the program.
