Vision

To be a premier centre for interdisciplinary English studies, committed to nurturing generations of professionally skilled, ethically conscious, culturally aware and research-driven graduates with a deep appreciation for language, literature, human heritage, diversity and technological advancement.

Mission

To generate, disseminate and apply knowledge in language, literature, including interdisciplinary areas, for the benefit of society, country, and culture, and for the development of the global knowledge stream;

To conduct research on language and literature and interdisciplinary themes for the creation of new knowledge and to address the global trends and challenges;

To make the students aware of the global literary, socio-political and cultural concepts enabling them to understand the nuances of texts, textualities, language studies and professional needs;

To provide educational opportunities among the students to promote academic excellence, leadership qualities and community engagement capacities;

To facilitate a deeper comprehension of human diversity in human psychology and their social lives, experiences and perspectives;
