Dr. Md. Tanvir Hossain
Dr. Md. Tanvir Hossain holds a Ph.D. in Bioresources Science from Iwate University, Japan. His research focuses on nanotechnology, environmental chemistry, bioactive compounds, and viral adaptation. With over a decade of academic experience, he has published extensively in international journals and led several funded research projects in Bangladesh.

BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Md. Tanvir Hossain Professor Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh Dr. Md. Tanvir Hossain is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in bioscience, chemical and biomedical engineering, nanotechnology, and environmental chemistry. He currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh. Dr. Hossain earned his Ph.D. in Bioresources Science from Iwate University, Japan, where he focused on the thermal adaptation of RNA bacteriophage Qβ—a model for understanding viral evolution. His academic journey began at the University of Rajshahi, where he obtained both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology with top academic honors. With over a decade of teaching and research experience, Dr. Hossain has mentored numerous undergraduate and graduate students. His teaching portfolio includes Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, Environmental Chemistry, Metallurgy, and Chemical Engineering. Dr. Hossain has led several funded research projects on phytochemical analysis and bioactive compound isolation from medicinal plants. His work has been widely published in international journals covering topics such as nanomaterials, antioxidant activities, environmental pollution, and plant-based bioactives. He is also the author of multiple scientific books and has presented at major conferences across Asia. In addition to research and teaching, Dr. Hossain played a key role in developing advanced biochemical laboratory facilities at NSTU through international collaboration and funding. His dedication to advancing science and education continues to inspire both students and peers alike.
