MD. JAMSEDUL ISLAM
Md. Jamsedul Islam is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Business Studies at Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh, with over seven years of academic experience teaching and researching in accounting and sustainability-related fields. His research focuses on ESG performance, corporate carbon emissions, environmental accounting, and corporate governance, with 20+ publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals and an h-index of 11 with 500+ google scholar citations. He holds an MBA and BBA in Accounting from the University of Chittagong and is currently pursuing further doctoral research in ESG performance and climate transition risk.

BIOGRAPHY
Md. Jamsedul Islam grew up in Hatiya, Noakhali, and went on to top his class at the University of Chittagong, earning a gold medal in his MBA and a silver medal in his BBA, both in Accounting. That early spark for excellence carried him into academia, where he now serves as Assistant Professor at Noakhali Science and Technology University. Over the past seven-plus years, he has built a strong research career around ESG performance, climate risk, and sustainable finance — the kind of work that looks at how businesses can grow responsibly in a changing world. He has published more than 20 research papers, including 12 in Scopus-indexed journals and 7 in top-ranked Q1/Q2 journals, earning over 500 citations and an h-index of 11. His research has been backed by more than ten grants, and alongside writing, he has taken on leadership roles at his university, from department chairman to student society advisor. He is now working toward a PhD by Research at Sunway Business School in Malaysia, continuing his focus on ESG and climate risk in the energy sector. At home in Maijdee Court, Noakhali, he shares his life with his wife, Tahmina Islam, and their three children, Iram, Yeameen, and Evan Chowdhury.
