Md. Jamsedul Islam grew up in Hatiya, Noakhali, and went on to top his class at the University of Chittagong, earning a gold medal in his MBA and a silver medal in his BBA, both in Accounting. That early spark for excellence carried him into academia, where he now serves as Assistant Professor at Noakhali Science and Technology University. His research has been backed by more than ten grants, and alongside writing, he has taken on leadership roles at his university, from department chairman to student society advisor. He is now working toward a PhD by Research at Sunway Business School in Malaysia, continuing his focus on ESG and climate risk in the energy sector. At home in Maijdee Court, Noakhali, he shares his life with his wife, Tahmina Islam, and their three children, Iram, Yeameen, and Evan Chowdhury.
