BIOGRAPHY

Palash Karmakar has been serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh, since 2010. He completed both his Bachelor (B. Pharm, 2006) and Master (M.S. in Pharmaceutical Science, 2009) degrees in Pharmacy from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. In 2025, he earned his PhD from the Department of Sport and Health Sciences at Hong Kong Baptist University. Palash Karmakar is actively engaged in research within the fields of Social Pharmacy and Public Health. His primary research interests include the identification of risk factors and their associations with various diseases and overall health outcomes, as well as public perception of medications and specific health conditions. He is currently leading several research projects aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles and improving public health awareness. In addition to his academic duties, Palash Karmakar has served as Acting Director of the Department of Physical Education and Acting Proctor at Noakhali Science and Technology University, contributing to key administrative functions.
