Does Board Diversity Impact on Integrated Reporting Performance? A Study on an Emerging Economy
Abstract: The core objective of the project is to examine how the board diversity impacts the integrated reporting performance of the firms listed in the Dhaka Stock Exchange, Bangladesh. Besides, this project aims to present a thorough content about integrated reporting and its practicing trend in our public firms. This project also aims to explore the expert personnel attitude and suggestions toward integrated reporting practices to improve governance, accountability, and transparency of the firms in an emerging economy like Bangladesh.
Catalysing Transformative Change in Planetary Health
Abstract: This CATA-Earth project brings together 6 universities from The Netherlands, Spain, Bangladesh and Indonesia, collaborating with 4 local NGOs representing stakeholder firms. The general objective of this project is to develop capacity for designing and delivering innovative community-driven planetary health education in climate vulnerable regions in Asia and to create a new generation of change makers with actionable planetary health knowledge and skills.
Predicting the financial distress through ownership structure: A study on an emerging country prospective
Abstract: The study mainly investigates the effects of ownership pattern on the likelihood of firms’ financial distress. It examines how different ownership structures of the firms can be linked to predict the probability of financial distress. To meet the core objective, the study identifies the likelihood of firms’ financial distress and suggest some policy measures to be adopted by the planners and the decision makers.
Temporal Evolution of COVID-19 in Bangladesh and Its Effect on Dhaka Stock Index using principal component analysis
Abstract: The Covid-19 is the worst pandemic in the modern society which spread across the world from April, 2020. The dynamic of COVID-19 should understand to monitor and control the diseases. To do so, one should analyze the time series of COVID-19 confirmed and death cases. The core objective of this project is to monitor how fast this diseases has been spread across the country over time and its effect on stock market. The dynamic of COVID-19 of our country has been compared with the dynamic of other severe countries.
The Impact of Single Digit Interest Rate on the Performance of Commercial Bank in Bangladesh
Abstract: The main objective of the study is to investigate the comprehension of the impact of single digit interest rate in case of both savings and borrowings on the financial performance of private commercial banks and examine the changes in the structure of revenue and cost elements after adopting the single digit interest rate. The specific objective of this study is to examine present customers’ attitude toward borrowings and savings after implementation of single digit interest rate.
State of Bangladesh in trade flow of World Commodities Using Entropy
Abstract: The quality of products which are exported by Bangladesh should know to earn more money. Analyzing exported data of a country over time, one can know the popularity of a product of a country in the world. Every country wants to improve their product quality with time to dominate world trade. The position of Bangladesh in the world trade network according to commodities is still unknown. In this project, we extract information about the position of Bangladesh in world trade on the basis of commodities, and a comparison has been done to clarify our position with Asian developed countries, like Japan, South Korea, so that policy makers can take proper initiatives to uphold our position.
Climate Change and Global Warming Disclosure Trends in Bangladesh: A Study on Cement & Chemical Industry
Abstract: The main objective of the study is to examine the climate change and global warming disclosure practices of the listed cement and chemical companies in Bangladesh. This study concentrates on bringing lime light to the current environment friendly production of cement and chemical product in Bangladesh.
Identifying Financial States between Global and Local Financial Markets from the Change of Correlation and Partial Correlation
Abstract: The study analyzes index effect on stock correlation investigated for global and local market both S&P 500 and DSE in both calm state and crisis state so that investors can get early warning that the marketing is going to severe state. So this study is very much important to protect the investors and to save the market from gamblers otherwise the gambler can try to take this opportunity again and again and the investors might lose their last resort.

Abstract: The core objective of our study is to investigate the impact of ownership structure on the performance of the firms concentrating on banking industry in Bangladesh. To achieve the primary objective, the study also concentrates on identifying the pattern and trend of ownership structure of banking Industry in Bangladesh.
