Md Shahadat Hossain

Dr. Md. Shahadat Hossain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh. He holds a Ph.D. in Innovation Systems Engineering from Utsunomiya University, Japan, where his research focused on the carbon template-assisted synthesis of hollow-structured nanomaterials and nanocomposites for applications in catalysis, gas sensing, and energy. His current research interest encompasses computational chemistry, biomedical engineering, and computer-aided drug design. He has a strong academic record, including first-class distinctions in both his BSc and MSc degrees, and has a notable publication record in high-impact journals.

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Md. Shahadat Hossain is a distinguished Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Innovation Systems Engineering from Utsunomiya University, Japan (2019-2023). His doctoral research pioneered the fabrication of hollow-structured nanomaterials and nanocomposites for catalysis, gas sensing, and energy applications. Prior to his Ph.D., Dr. Hossain earned both his Master of Science (2015-2017) and Bachelor of Science (2009-2015) degrees in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering with distinctions. Dr. Hossain's professional experience spans both academia and industry. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at NSTU. His previous roles include Lecturer at NSTU and a significant tenure as a Research Assistant at Utsunomiya University, Japan. Before his doctoral studies, he gained valuable industrial experience as an Executive in Validation and Research & Development at ACI HealthCare Limited in Bangladesh. Dr. Hossain's research contributions are extensive, with over 20 peer-reviewed articles published in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, Surfaces and Interfaces, Materials Research Bulletin, and ACS Omega.
