BIOGRAPHY
Since 2019, I have been serving as an Assistant Professor of Education and Head of the Department of Educational Administration at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) in Bangladesh. My role centres on nurturing future leaders and managers for the education sector. Additionally, I have been working as an Additional Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the university as well as an Assistant Director at the Research Cell of NSTU. Before joining NSTU, I dedicated over seven years to managing educational projects and enhancing teacher capacity. My experience spans various prestigious institutions, including the government Teachers’ Training College, the a2i Program of The Prime Minister’s Office, the TQI Project of the Ministry of Education, and the British Council Bangladesh. My academic journey led me to the University of Manchester, UK, where I earned an MA in Educational Leadership through the Equity and Merit Scholarship. I graduated in Education from the Institute of Education and Research at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Throughout my career, I have secured more than 19 research grants from the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh, the Planning Commission of Bangladesh, NSTU, the Social Science Research Council, and FREPD Bangladesh. I have spearheaded over 31 studies for the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education of Bangladesh, UNICEF, Chemonics International, Creative Associates, Sesame Network of USA, Save the Children International, a2i, Room to Read, TIB, Project Rangeet of India, and Sesame Workshop Bangladesh. I wrote textbooks for technical and vocational education (TVE) of National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), Dhaka, Bangladesh. My scholarly contributions include over 30 articles in national and international journals and book chapters addressing educational issues. I also actively contribute as an Education Advisor to Alokito Hridoy Foundation and Light of Hope and serve as a Director at the Institute for Child and Human Development. I am an IVLP Fellow, Acumen Fellow of the Bangladesh Cohort of 2020, YPF Fellow of the Bangladesh Youth Policy Forum, Co-founder of Bangladesh Education Forum, and a Core Team Member of #NextGenEdu, a global platform for education.
